This classic prayer attributed to Reinhold Niebuhr is helpful to anyone in every situation. It is wisdom distilled into a nutshell. Sunset, with the waning light, is a time when we commonly feel the experience of serenity. I placed this sunset in the Santa Cruz mountains, with a redwood tree, ferns, and wild ginger native to that area. The style is a nod to the early 20th Century Russian fairy tale illustrator, Alexander Bilibin.
