Rabbi Me'irah will be doing two presentations at the annual international Kavod v'Nichum conference, which is being held this year at Rodef Shalom in San Rafael, CA June 18-21. For more information click here.
On Sunday afternoon, June 21, Rabbi Me'irah will take viewers through her recent work "Map of Journey of the Soul/Journey of the Mourner," with ample opportunity to ask questions. This four panel work places the journeys in four periods of Jewish mourning time. The mourner can orient the self as well as the process of the mourner within the map. She is working on a book with many close ups of the map as well as narrative.
On Monday afternoon, June 22, you have an opportunity to participate in Rabbi Me'irah's play, "Navigating the Liminal place." If you have ever wondered what goes on in a Taharah room, what is happening there spiritually, or what it might feel like to do the taharah itself, you will get a chance to play a role in this play. Many figures in Jewish history take part in the play.
Reproductions of Rabbi Me'irah's paintings and cards will be for sale throughout the conference.
